ACDelco ARD20137 Cordless Drill Driver
High Performance: Featuring a powerful 20V brushless motor, our cordless drill driver delivers an impressive 32Nm max torque. With 21 adjustable torque settings, it provides precise control for a wide range of applications, from delicate woodworking to heavy-duty metal drilling.
2-Speed Gearbox: Equipped with a 2-speed gearbox, this drill offers trigger-operated variable speeds ranging from 0-400 RPM for controlled, low-speed operations and 0-1,300 RPM for high-speed tasks. This versatility ensures you have the right speed for any job, enhancing efficiency and performance.
I have always had Bosch drills but the battery pack has failed on one om two drills and a new battery costs twice as much as this drill set. It comes with one battery which charges fairly quickly and is shockingly good at drilling wood or metal. The screwdriver function is always a good test as to how effective a battery drill will be. I tested this in the garden undoing some corroded fence panel screws where the wood and swollen and it undid them without any appreciable difference to the Bosch it replaced. Obviously the supplied bits are not as good as some decent ones but the drill itself is excellent for a DIY user. It comes in a carry case for easy shelf stacking and I just leave the charger out of the box for easy charging. The drill is very compact and lacks a hammer gearbox so it is no use for drilling masonry but for general household maintenance it is ideal and costs less than half a battery for the Bosch. I bought a bigger version of this that does have hammer three months ago and this uses the same battery (although higher capacity) and I built a shed extension and was able to drill into a concrete base using its bigger brother without any difficulty. Cheap drills have come a long way since the replacement of rubbish NiCad batteries with Li-ion ones like this drill uses and performance is on a different level - akin to a much more expensive product. If I had one genuine complaint about this drill it would be the battery charger and connection. Having to plug a lead into the battery pack rather than just drop it onto a charging holder is a pain in the neck but not enough to detract from the otherwise good performance of the drill. A bit more thought given to how to charge the battery would have made this product unbeatable rather than just really good value for money

This drill driver from ACDelco is about what I was expecting in terms of quality and features. It's around half the price of a Bosch equivalent and slightly cheaper than the equivalent Black & Decker. It's relatively light weight and nicely balanced (not too top heavy like some). The motor is brushless which is nice to see and the battery is decent too at 1.5Ah. With the drill, battery and charger you also get a few drill bits and a small selection of screwdriver bits. Previous cordless drills I've purchased have come with a carry/storage case and so the lack of one with this set is a bit of a downside. The drill has a nice 3-bar charge indicator and a small light on the front. The drill has a standard forward and reverse direction switch and a large number of torque selection settings (21!). That seems a bit overkill to be honest, a few would suffice. The chuck gets you a good grip on the bits and the drill has two speed settings for up to 1,300 rpm. Furthermore, the trigger has a gradient so that you can gradually press harder to increase speed, which is nice. Overall, everything works well. The housing is sturdy enough, although not up to Bosch quality (for example), and the lack of a carry case is a little disappointing. Overall 4 stars from me. A decent set at around £40.
This cordless drill/screwdriver is about the same size as my cordless impact driver. It is fairly lightweight at just over 1.1kg with battery attached, which makes it a handy tool for general DIY tasks. The overall build quality seems pretty good and the plastic casing feels very robust (better than my Screwfix Erbauer impact driver). The motor is brushless which is nice to see, and the driver comes with a set of five metal/general purpose drill bits, plus a bit holder and a set of 10 bits including screwdriver bits and a 1/4" socket adapter. The battery is charged with a wall power adapter and jack socket. I'd have preferred a slot-in charger box but it works well and charged in less than an hour. Its not clear what the amp hour capacity of the battery is, but it looks around 2 or 3aH. A nice feature is the 3 bar charge indicator on the battery which illuminates every time the driver is operated. The driver itself has good rubberised grips and the standard forward/reverse selector. There's a choice of drill mode or screwdriver with 21 torque settings along with a standard 3/8" twist chuck. There's a two speed gearbox, with the faster setting as "1" which is opposite to what I'm used to but not really an issue. Gearbox speeds are 0-400 and 0-1300 RPM. Its a shame there's no carry case included but for the price, this seems like a good buy and will hopefully last a few years.
Right from the start, it’s clear that it’s a very handy tool for a variety of tasks. The drill is lightweight, which makes it comfortable to use for long periods, and the compact size means it’s great for getting into tighter spaces. It’s not the fanciest tool in terms of design, it’s a bit plasticky, but the performance more than makes up for it. The brushless motor delivers plenty of power, and with 21 torque settings, it’s got the versatility to handle both light and heavy jobs. I found it really easy to switch between the two-speed settings depending on what I was doing, whether I needed more control or a bit of extra speed. The battery lasts well enough and charges in about an hour, so I wasn’t left waiting too long if I ran it down during a project. Plus, it’s nice to have the battery indicator on the tool itself. One thing I really liked was the bright LED light. It came in handy more than I expected when I was working in darker corners of the garage. It’s a shame the drill doesn’t come with a case or bag for storage, though. Keeping all the bits together has been a bit of a faff. That said, it comes with a decent range of bits, and the magnetic holder works well enough, though the magnet could be stronger. For the price, it’s a great little drill, perfect for DIY jobs around the house. It’s not the most premium tool out there, but it does the job efficiently, and the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to use makes it a good addition to any toolbox. How I rate the products: 5 stars: As advertised, works as expected, nice packaging. 4 stars: Not quite as expected, possibly misleading in description or issue with packaging. 3 stars: Average product, works okay but nothing special. 2 stars: A cheap or untrustworthy product, not expecting it to last long. 1 star: Came broken or unusable.

My partner has an all-singing all-dancing cordless drill with lots of bits and pieces and I don't even know where to begin to use it. It also weighs a ton. So when I need some holes drilled to put up a shelf or rail, or even to drill a hole in a plastic plant pot for drainage, I have to wait for him to come back from work and do it for me, which is a real pain. I hate being so useless technically, so when I saw this I thought I may have a chance to operate it myself and not be so reliant on other people. I was impressed when it arrived as it is very straightforward. A quick read of the instructions and I was off. My first project was to drill holes in plant pots for drainage and I found the drill very easy to use, and also very lightweight (it weighs just over 1 kilo). I cannot even lift up my partner's drill, it is far too heavy. There are two speeds, and it is very easy to change between the 2, and there is a good choice of drill bits and screwdriver bits. There is even a light so that you can see what you are doing if you are using this inside a cupboard or in a dark corner of the room or garage. The battery charges from empty to full in just over an hour, and there is a handy indicator on the drill showing how much battery life you have left. I was very pleased with myself that I could actually manage to operate this (my partner was even more amazed than I was!), and in fact my partner is also very impressed with what it can do and I suspect that he will be using this drill in future instead of hauling his huge box out of the garage. The only thing I wish is that it had a storage case to keep everything together, but the cardboard box is sturdy and will last a while. I also chose this drill because of the reputation of ACDelco as my partner has had their products before, and it is a company founded in the USA and has been around for about 100 years, so I knew I would be getting a quality product. I think that for the current price of £39.99 it is reasonable.
This is a cheap drill (currently £40), so it is reasonable to say that it isn’t going to be great quality. However, it does work well. It doesn’t have a great range of functions, but it does have a 2 speed gearbox which will give you a reported max of 400 and 1300 rpm. The advertising states 0-400 and 0-1300, but it isn’t a complete dead start. As you depress the trigger it will suddenly start, but on the lowest speeds it isn’t likely to immediately shear a screw. There is also a wide torque setting range which goes from slight resistance to screw shearing. When you get to around 17 you can grip the head and cause it to torque out, after that it gets a lot harder. Take it past the numerical 20 and there is another click where I think the torque release is removed and you need to exercise care if you don’t want a shearing. It is light-weight, comfortable to hold and not overly bulky. Battery life has been reasonably good so far. I used it on a recent renovation and it easily lasted a day of fair to moderate use, it certainly helped with assembling a load of flat-pack kitchen cabinets. If you are looking for an all-rounder, it may disappoint as it has no impact / hammer action. It does come with a small selection of drill and driver bits. One of the negatives at this time is that I could not find a manufacturers or 3rd party battery replacement. The point of removable batteries is two-fold for me, 1. If the battery reaches end of life, you don’t have to throw the drill out. 2. You can have multiple batteries to ensure you can keep going without having to wait hours for a full charge. Hopefully these may become available at a later date. Bottom line, a cheap drill driver which is fine for light DIY work
I have several drills in my workshop as I am a hobby woodworker. These drills are very expensive compared to this one. I am forever being asked by my wife to go and get drill from the workshop for this or that job. So this one is going to stay int he house. it will be for the small light jobs around the house. This is a nice all round battery operated drill driver. It comes with 5 drill bits and a quick change 3/8 chuck drill bit holder. Additionally it comes with a set of 10 hex driver sets. The drill is powered by a supplied 20v rechargeable battery and it comes with a recharging cable. Mine came partially charged so I put it on charge for a couple of hours and it has been working several time sand is still on full charge I don't know how long a the battery last on a single charge at this time. It has a 3 light system to indicate battery charge (traffic light system) The whole drill driver is compact and lightweight. It has a 2 speed motor which allows you to drill on 1 from 0-400 RPM then on 2 0-1,300 RPM for the high speed dialling needed for metal etc. It has 21 torque setting and drill mode. All in all this is a nice handy tool to have in the house for everyday DIY lightweight jobs. it is affordable and very useful. Recommended..
I will admit that first impressions was that it definitely seems like a cordless drill on the cheaper end of the market. It does seem a bit plasticky but it actually does the job rather well, at least as a cordless screwdriver. It's a bit fiddly changing the heads so I prefer just to use the long attachment and then just change over the heads that way knowing that the magnet will keep it in place. I did notice that the magnet wasn't that strong but it made light work of screwing in a screw. It came fully charged so will be interesting to see how long the battery lasts but I do appreciate that this did indeed include a battery and charger. This cordless drill is very lightweight and quite small so handing it was easy and didn't make my hand ache after a while! Seems good value especially as it did include a battery. Just a pity it didn't include a plastic storage box or even a bag to keep it all together.
The ACDelco Cordless Drill set arrived neatly packaged within a printed cardboard box. In the set you receive the main drill unit, a 1.5Ah Li-ion battery, a Charger, a User Manual, five Twist Drill Bits and ten Screwdriver bits. In use the drill performs well handling all the required drilling and screwing tasks without any problems with a wide range of adjustable torque settings. As with a lot of these kits the batteries do not seem to have any compatibility with the big names so you might have difficulty obtaining replacements when the included batteries fail. Apart from that this is a very good basic cordless drill set for the amateur handyman!

This product comes in a cardboard box, and inside the box, you’ll find the drill itself, the battery, the battery charger and various drill bits and screw bits. As of review, this product is priced at £39.99 - I think this is excellent value and makes a good starter set. This cordless drill has a light to see where you are drilling in more precise detail. The drill is light and small but powerful enough for light jobs around the house. The included drill bits and screw bits are all appreciated, as this means you are ready to go without needing to buy extra bits. It would be good if there were a hammer option so it would be more effective on brick walls, but this is still a good set for the price. I recommend this product.
ACDelco 20V Cordless Drill Driver ACDelco is certainly a brand name that I haven't come across for many years, if my memory serves me correctly they had a good reputation for quality products. Here we have a cordless drill/driver which is at an affordable price for what you receive. The drill is supplied in a plain cardboard box, there is no case included which is obviously to keep the asking price down. In the box you receive the following: Drill, battery, charger, drill bits, screwdriver bits and user guide. My first impression was good, this doesn't look a bad drill at all considering the asking price of £39.99. The main body is a little small, but then again many of the big brand names are becoming a similar size. This is partly due to this having a brushless motor which not only runs smoother, there are also no brushes to be changed over time. The main body is made from a tough nylon material with hard silicone grips. This is a 2 speed drill via a slide switch on top, the drill is also reversible via a push through button. The chuck is only 10mm (3/8") but that's no surprise in this price range. But there are some jobs that call for a smaller more compact drill, although compact, this has plenty of torque. The battery supplied is just 1.5Ah which is not huge, but will be sufficient for most home DIY projects. The included charger does look a little basic, but the user guide states that a 1 hour charge will be sufficient for most tasks. It's handy that a set of drills and screwdriver bits are also included, you have literally all that you need. It is a shame that no case is supplied, but the box it arrives in is quite sturdy so the drill can be stored in that. Overall, for the asking price I don't think you can go far wrong with this. CONTENTS: 1 x Cordless Drill 1 x Battery 1 x Charger 5 x Drill Bits 1 x Pack Screw Driver Bits 1 x User Guide Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
• This is a great little cordless screwdriver/drill which is fairly light but easy to hold and grip due to its rubberised handle. • It has 2 speeds via a slide switch on top; the drill is also reversible via a push through button. • The chuck is 10mm (3/8”). It is Very straightforward to insert and hold drill bits and screwdriver heads. • The 21 torque settings allow you to vary the speed of the drill in order to ensure accuracy when using the attachments • There is an LED light which shines on the task at hand which is useful in low light settings. • The range of drill bits and screwdriver heads appear to cover a wide range. • When charging the battery it appears to fully charge within one hour.
my old drill got horribly rusty having been left out in a leaky part of the garage, and I am really pleased with this as a replacement. It is easy to use, has a decent battery length, comes with a few drill bits if you don't have any already (although these are probably not necessary for most and not the highest quality, they are useful for beginners). There's not much to fault about this, really. This is a smaller brand but still a known name in the tools industry - so you can trust that it's not imported fly-by-night rubbish. Good solid drill that will do you well for DIY and home repair.
Wow, much better than I expected! In fact it’s stronger than my Black+Decker drill. Battery also seems to last long as I just used this drill to hang 6 pictures, 2 guitars and put together a wardrobe and the battery is still showing 100%. Honestly, I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s a REALLY GOOD DRILL. Get it!
Smashing little compact driver, the physical size of this is the most appealing feature IMO. There are LOADS of cordless drills/drivers available, many of which are exactly the same size/spec, with just the lable varying between different makes/names. This ACDelco is a 'bling-free' model, by which I mean it doesn't have any unnecessary additions design-wise, in order to try and make it 'look' better than it actually is. A definite thumbs-up in that regard. It's really comfortable to hold, performs a treat, and is ideal for lighter stuff such as self-assembly projects and smaller drilling jobs (the size especially useful for the former). I really do like this ACDelco, and can see it being my go-to driver for wazzing in screws and fixings... especially in tight spaces. Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis.... 5-Stars.
The drill arrives in a plain cardboard box but the contents are anything but dull. It has a very comfortable grip, nice weight and is well balanced. The trigger is responsive, making control easy, and the led light is very bright. A 20v battery - rechargeable in an hour - and a brushless motor ensure plenty of power in either of the two speed options. With the included 10 screwdriver heads and four useful-sized bits, this is a great buy for around £40.
I recently got my hands on a 20V cordless drill, and I’m very impressed with its performance. The rechargeable battery makes it incredibly convenient to use, and it comes with a solid range of drill bits, including Allen key attachments and both cross and flathead options. This variety means I have everything I need for most DIY tasks without having to search for additional pieces. The quality of this drill is great for such an affordable tool. It charges quickly and has proven to be reliable during my recent projects. I’ve been using it today to assemble some furniture, and it handled everything with ease, providing enough power for the job without any issues. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone tackling basic home DIY projects, and would recommend it - excellent value for money.
This electric drill is an absolute powerhouse in a compact form. The battery provides impressive runtime, allowing me to tackle multiple projects without constantly recharging. With two-speed settings it offers excellent control for both delicate and heavy-duty tasks. The built-in LED light is really handy, illuminating dark workspaces and ensuring accuracy even in dim conditions. The included 10-piece hex driver set is a nice bonus, making it versatile right out of the box. The ergonomic design fits comfortably in hand, reducing fatigue during extended use.

I recently ordered the ACDelco 20V Cordless Drill Driver, and overall, I'm really impressed with its performance. The drill is compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle, especially during longer projects. At just 1.07KG including the battery, I found it comfortable to use without any hand strain, even in tighter spaces. What really stood out for me is the built-in LED light - it automatically illuminates when the drill is in use, making it super easy to see exactly what you're working on, especially in dimly lit areas or when working indoors. This feature is a great addition. The 32Nm torque is strong enough to handle a variety of tasks, from lighter woodwork to more intense drilling into metal. Plus, the two-speed gearbox gives me the flexibility to adjust the speed according to the job - whether I need slow and controlled drilling or faster speeds for bigger tasks. I also appreciate the 21 torque settings, which add to the precision and control of the drill. It’s versatile and reliable, whether I'm working on DIY projects at home or tackling something more heavy-duty. The set also includes a 10-piece hex driver set, so I didn’t have to go hunting for additional bits, which was super convenient.
